PYRAN Platinum is a transparent glass-ceramic. Glass-ceramic is an inorganic, partly vitreous, partly crystalline solid consisting of a mixture of silicates, alumina, lithium oxide and phosphates. Glass-ceramic is inert. No hazardous heavy metals such as antimony and arsenic are included in the formulation.

In the manufacturing process of PYRAN Platinum, SCHOTT uses between 40-50% recycled cullet, generated from their own production process of PYRAN Platinum. Cullet is also sourced from SCHOTT's warehouse in the United States.

Wash glass with a soft, clean, non-abrasive cloth and a mild soap, detergent, or non-abrasive window cleaning solution. After cleaning, rinse immediately with clean water and remove any excess water from the panel surface.
