Description: GranCem Slag Cement is part of Holcim's Envirocore(TM) product line. It's primary ingredient is granulated blast- furnace slag that is ground to a fine powder. GGBFS, or slag cement, is recognized as a recovered material by the EPA. GranCem is typically used as a partial replacement for portland cement in concrete. The optimum amount used can vary depending on the final application of the concrete and other mixture constituents. GranCem meets the requirements of ASTM C 989.
