Description:
New Building Codes require attic access to be insulated R-30 to R-49+. Per 2009 IECC Section 402.2.3 and 2009 IRC Section N1102.2.3 reads: "Access hatches and doors. Access doors from conditioned spaces to unconditioned spaces (e.g., attics and crawl spaces) shall be weatherstripped and insulated to a level equivalent to the insulation on the surrounding surfaces." A minimum of R-30 to R-49+ is now required!
Battic Door Energy Conservation Products introduces the R-50 Attic Stair Cover.
The Battic Door Attic Stair Insulator Cover is an energy-saving insulating cover for folding attic pull-down stairs. It reduces air-leakage through the attic stairway door saving the homeowner heating and cooling loss and energy costs, and provides a surface to add the desired amount of insulation to.
Preferred by contractors, available in 2 sizes to fit most any size attic stairs, and starting at only $29.50, the kit pays for itself in months!
Available with optional R-50 insulation kit, the Battic Door Attic Stair Insulator Cover provides the highest insulation level in the industry and is the only stair cover kit to meet the new Building Codes that require pull down stairs to be insulated to a level equivalent to the insulation of the surrounding floor, wall and ceiling.
Designed to work with truss and standard framing construction, no tools are required to install the kit.
Available at your local Building Supply Center, or Factory Direct by mail order.

Battic Door Energy Conservation Products manufactures and distributes low-cost, high-value, energy conservation products for the SIX largest overlooked "holes" in the house:
The pull-down attic stairs, the whole house fan and A/C return, the fireplace, the clothes dryer exhaust duct, the bathroom exhaust fan duct, and the attic access door hatch.
By sealing these "holes", air leaks, cold drafts, and wasted energy are reduced. The products work year 'round by reducing cold drafts and heat loss in the winter, as well as air-conditioning loss in the summer.
The products conserve energy, lower your utility bills, reduce noise and pollutants, improve indoor air quality, reduce the chance of ice dams and attic mold, and improve the comfort of your home. Contractors preferred supplier, the products are available direct to customers by mail order, also available in bulk to builders, weatherization contractors, and distributors.
